This refreshing peach lemonade is the best way to cool off this summer!! The lemonade is made with fresh peaches and lemons and served with ice, sparkling water and garnished with mint for a bubbly non-alcoholic summer refresher:).

We live in South Florida and summer months here are not only hot, but the humidity is also so high that it feels like a steam bath anywhere you go. Besides this sparkling peach lemonade, I love making Strawberry Limeade or Sparkling Raspberry Lemonades to help with the summer heat.

I’m a big fan of using simple ingredients, fresh fruits, sugar, water and not much more similar to Agua Fresca. Maybe add sparkling water instead of regular water, chill and use plenty of ice:). You’re all set!!

    Ingredients

Using fresh peaches and fresh lemons makes such a big difference for this lemonade. This summer’s peaches have been outstandingly sweet and delicious. I love to use peaches that are ripe for best flavor, a little soft but not too much!

Two fresh peaches on a counter.

Wash and then peel the peaches, remove the pit, roughly chop and add them to a medium size pot. Add sugar and water and cook on medium heat until the mix boils, then lower heat to low and let cook about about 10-15 minutes until peaches are soft. Turn heat off and let the mix cool off.

Chopped peaches in a pot and there's a whole peach visible in the background.

Pro-Tip: If peaches are on the smaller size, feel free to use 3 instead of 2. The recipe is not very rigid, adjust to your taste.

    Let’s Make Lemonade:)

I love to use about 6 large lemons for this recipe. Squeeze the lemons at room temperature to get more fresh lemon juice.

Strain the peach syrup and pour into a pitcher. Then add lemon juice. Mix and place pitcher in the refrigerator. When it’s time to serve, fill in the rest of the pitcher with lemon flavored sparkling water. Serve right away over ice and garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves for a refreshing drink:). Enjoy!!

Tip: Use the boiled peaches as topping for pancakes and waffles the next day, let them cool in the refrigerator over night!! Don’t forget some whipped cream too, so good!!!

If you don’t like sparkling lemonade, feel free to just add cold water to the pitcher instead of sparkling water for a great summer lemonade.

Pitcher and a mason jar both filled with peach lemonade and they have lemon slices in them. There's a mint sprig over the mason jar as garnish and a fresh peach on the table.

Note: I just want to mention that I don’t like my lemonade very sweet so the amount of sugar I add to my recipe might be on the low end for a lot of people. Please adjust the level of sweetness to your taste. Cheers!

    Equipment

    • 1 medium sauce pot
    • 1 pitcher

    Ingredients

    • 2 large peaches ripe, you can add an extra peach if they're medium size
    • 0.5 cup sugar
    • 2 cups water
    • 6 lemons
    • 1 bottle sparkling water you can use flavorless sparkling water or lemon lime flavored sparkling water to taste
    • mint leaves as needed for garnish
    • ice for pitcher and individual serving cups

    Instructions

    • Wash, peel the peaches and then remove the pits. Chop them roughly and add to a medium sauce pot.
    • Add half cup of sugar and two cups of water over chopped peaches, set the pot to boil then lower heat to simmer for about 10-15 minutes or until peaches soften. Turn heat off and let the peach mix cool down.
    • Squeeze the lemons and set the juice apart. Keep lemons at room temperature to get a greater yield.
    • Once the peach mix has cooled off, strain over a pitcher. Add ice to the pitcher and the lemon juice, mix well and refrigerate for few hours.
    • When ready to serve, fill up the rest of the pitcher with your choice of sparkling water.
    • Serve outdoors for a refreshing summer afternoon. Fill up mason jars with ice, pour peach lemonade, add mint leaves as garnish and lemon slices. Enjoy:)).

    Notes

    • My recipe relies on peach natural sweetness and not much sugar to make the lemonade. If peaches are not ripe or you’d like a sweeter lemonade, please add more sugar to your taste.
    • I feel that the type of sparkling water you use makes a difference in taste even when you use a flavorless sparkling water. I love using Italian sparkling water for a more delicate lemonade.
