Basic Salad Dressing
3tbspsolive oil
2tbspsred wine vinegar
0.5tspsea salt
Instructions
Wash lettuce leafs, radicchio, pears and grapes. Let them air dry on the counter. Crumble the gorgonzola and set it aside.
Slice or chop the onion and add it to a container with cold water for few minutes. It will minimize the smell and acidity.
Get a salad platter. Chop lettuce and add as a first layer in the salad platter.
Chop radicchio and add over lettuce. Slice pears to your favorite shape and add over lettuce and radicchio. You can add grapes as they are or slice them in half (highly suggest slicing if you have young children).
Add carrot sticks over pears and grapes. Then add gorgonzola cheese as well as onions.
Mix the olive oil, red wine vinegar and sea salt in a mason jar. Pour that over the salad. Mix as needed and serve! Enjoy:).
Notes
Salad Dressing - either use a basic olive oil, red wine vinegar and sea salt dressing or this Meyer lemon vinaigrette dressing. I only use the vinaigrette when I have guests over or for a special event, otherwise I just use a simple olive oil, red wine vinegar and sea salt mix.
