Instructions
Blue Cheese Slaw
Chop celery and carrots and add them to a medium bowl. Add crumbled blue cheese, blue cheese dressing, freshly squeezed lemon juice and olive oil. Mix well and refrigerate so slaw can chill. Double if you plan to serve more so you can have it already chilled when needed.
Buffalo Chicken
Add a saucepan on medium heat in the stovetop. Add butter and once butter melts, add your favorite buffalo sauce. Lower heat to low once it starts to bubble.
Chop chicken tenders (purchased them already breaded and fried) into bite size pieces. Add them to simmering buffalo sauce and use a wooden spoon to coat the chicken thoroughly. Turn heat off after 1-2 minutes. Let it absorb the sauce while you prepare the ingredients for assembly.
Assembling the Sliders
Cut the slider breads in the middle, separate the top layer and place it aside. Cover the bottom with greens like Spring Mix or Sandwich lettuce.
Top off the greens corner to corner with buffalo chicken.
Add a layer of the slaw over the buffalo chicken and then place the top slider bread layer over the slaw. Cut through the lines to separate the sliders but don't pull them apart, let your guests do that:). Enjoy!
Notes
In my experience, these sliders are usually 2 sliders per adult serving and 1 for children. But it also depends a little bit, if you have a lot of other finger foods and appetizers people will eat less.
Pro-tip to plan your party - make extra slaw and chill. Buy extra chicken tenders but chop them 3-4 tenders at a time and serve about 8 sliders or so at a time. Then assemble another platter as soon as one disappears.
You can use Hawaiian rolls instead of the regular sliders I use. They usually come in bigger packages so add more slaw and chicken to have enough for all of them.
