I love light and airy fruit mousse desserts and this strawberry mousse is not an exception. We live in Florida and while I love to bake, certain months of the months it’s almost impossible because of the heat. So easy mousse desserts are the perfect solution to no bake desserts!!

While this dessert has a lot of fresh strawberries inside (both blended and diced), I want to emphasize how very few ingredients are involved in making this dessert.
Ingredients you need for this mousse recipe
I am aware that there are so many ways to make strawberry mousse, honestly there’s no right or wrong answer. This is what works for my family and I find it super easy to just whip this mousse together and refrigerate it.
- 1 box of fresh strawberries (about 1 pound)
- 1 packet of strawberry jell-o (family size) 6 oz (affiliate)
- 1 can of table cream (media crema) (affiliate)
- about 3 cups water (2 cups of boiling water and 1 cup cold)
How to make this strawberry mousse?
You just need a blender to make this mousse!
- Wash and air dry the strawberries. Remove the stem, add them to blender. Reserve 2-3 strawberries, dice them and set them on a plate.
- On a bowl add the strawberry jello powder and 2 cups of boiling water. Mix with a spoon until all powder has dissolved. Add 1 cup of cold water and mix.
- Pour table cream over the strawberries in the blender. Give it a quick pulse.
- Add the jello mix in the blender, blend well.
- Add diced strawberries at the bottom of each serving cup. Pour blend into serving cups or molds. Refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours or until mousse is set. Usually I like to refrigerate overnight.
- Serve with whipped cream and fresh strawberries. Enjoy:).
Setting the mousse
So I love to let the mousse set on individual serving cups. They look elegant and so cute. But there are times where I use a silicone mold for bundt cake and that comes out beautiful as well.

Notes
- Thanks to my husband’s stepmom for this recipe! She makes delicious mousse desserts of all flavors and strawberry one was always a hit. She shared the recipe with me during this last trip when they visited us from Brazil.
- Chilling time can vary. Mousse sets a lot faster on individual cups than the big mold.
- Wash the strawberries with water and vinegar (prepare a solution with water and vinegar and soak the strawberries for 5-10 minutes). Then rinse in running water and let air dry in a colander or pat dry with a clean kitchen towel.
- Toppings – whipped cream and more strawberries are optional and to taste, so add those as needed. Didn’t include them in ingredients as they are more garnishes.
