Piña Colada

The classic Piña Colada is a tropical, blended frozen drink with real pineapple, pineapple juice, coconut cream and rum!!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pineapple chunks frozen
  • 2 ozs pineapple juice
  • 2 ozs coconut cream
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 2 ozs rum
  • 2-3 ice cubes (optional)

Garnishes

Instructions

  • Freeze pineapple chunks. Chill pineapple juice and lime.
  • Add frozen pineapple chunks on blender. Add pineapple juice, cream of coconut and squeeze fresh lime juice on top. Add rum. Blend until smooth. At this point, you can add ice if you want your drink more frozen and blend again until smooth.
  • Pour over a pretty cup. Garnish with maraschino cherries and a pineapple slice. Cheers!

Note - while most of us think of Margaritaville and Jimmy Buffett singing If you love Piña Coladas ...., when drinking our delicious, frozen Piña Coladas I just think it's worth mentioning that this drink was invented in San Juan, Puerto Rico in Caribe Hilton Hotel by bartender Ramon Marrero (Monchito).
