1yellow or green appleI usually pick either a Golden Delicious or Granny Smith
3green onions
1lemon
¾cupmayonnaise
2tbspsbrown sugar
0.5tspsea saltadjust to taste
Instructions
Pour the coleslaw mix in a large glass bowl. Wash and dry the apples. Remove the core and dice them with the skin on. Add over the coleslaw mix. Clean and chop the green onions, add those too. Sprinkle sea salt over the ingredients.
Juice the lemon. Pour half the juice over diced apples to prevent them from browning.
Get a mason jar. Add mayonnaise, the remaining lemon juice and brown sugar. Mix until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
Pour dressing over the ingredients in the bowl. Mix well and refrigerate coleslaw for at least an hour before serving. Enjoy:)
Notes
I estimate this coleslaw yields about 8 servings but in the recipe I wrote 6 since we tend to serve bigger servings of this side dish.
Pick a good quality mayonnaise for the dressing.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator. Next day, drain the coleslaw a bit and transfer to a new bowl.
